Hodges and Golden are married at Cochino Lodge
The Bride had planned an outdoor wedding and the weather forecast did not change her mind. Family and Friends arrived on Friday and the decorating began. Pews and Benches were placed on the East Lawn for the celebration the next day. Many guests were from Missouri, Florida,Ohio, Dallas and Hemphill, Texas as well as other areas and had traveled a great distance to witness this marriage. The Reception area was decorated with Lavender and the wonderful smell wafted throughout the room. Vintage containers and fresh flowers were on each table creating a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The wedding ceremony was just as the bride and groom wanted. It was held outdoors with sky, water, trees and birds all a part of the celebration.....and NOT RAIN. I am sure there were a few deer peeking through the tree branches as well as squirrel and rabbits running about in the background. Hemphill Bar-B-Q had prepared the reception food that was enjoyed by all the guests. The DJ was Judy Fields, with Fun FX Entertainment of Galveston, She kept the guest dancing and having a great time. Just as the celebrating came to an end and guests began to leave, the rains and storms blew in. Lights went out and darkness surrounded Cochino. The guests that remained were great sports and did not let the dark nor the rain dampen the continuation of their celebrating the night away. Everyone had a great attitude and was so easy going. A great and memorable wedding.
