Totin and Sturrock Wedding At Cochino Lodge

Megan Totin and David Sturrock

The festivities began on Friday. Many family members gathered to help the young couple prepare for their wedding. It was truly a family affair with the father of the groom performing the ceremony. Moms, Dads, Friends and other Family members decorated the many areas of the Lodge. Family also prepared the delicious Reception food.  The BBQ pit was brought to Cochino and the cooking began.

The rehearsal dinner was held in Kennard at the Country Church Cafe. The Bobbits know how to prepare a pre-wedding feast. Everyone enjoyed the meal. The brides maids spent Friday night at Cochino after a day of decorating and enjoying dinner. Early the next morning they were on the lawn checking out the ceremony arrangements and enjoying the quiet of early morning in the country.
The wedding was at 4 PM, music was provided by Judy Fields. The beautiful cakes were made by family and were a labor of love given to the bride and groom.  It was a beautiful ceremony that was serious then humorous at times.  The weather was wonderful with blue skies and a cool breeze.
The Bride and Groom have known each other for 7 years, May they have 7 times 17 more years  together.
Happy Trails to You.....Mr. and Mrs. Sturrock

The guests were an enjoyable group of family and friends. Some had been to Cochino before and it was new to others. Some knew all about cutting trees and lumber and sawmills. I did too, so there was a lot of 'sawdust' talk about this.  I hope to see them all again soon..

Please enjoy the  photographs of the 'house' photographer.
(The professional photographer of the Sturrocks will submit photographs later. )
